SEYCHELLES NATIONAL HOLIDAYS AND FESTIVALS:

 Celebration under this heaven island of Seychelles is an ecstatic experience as it spotlights on the Creole culture. Seychelles celebrates too many festive that of national and geographical significance. It’s a sure thing for tourists to experience varieties of world dance, music and food. A party is not a party for a seychellois without dance and music. Seychelles celebrates both religious and secular festivals and of course international carnival. Religious festive are of highly celebrated as most of the population are Catholics and other Christians. here is our list of Seychelles national holidays and festivals for your reference.

JUNE:

18th of June is a National Holiday for Seychelles celebrated in Victoria as political day. During this day they conduct some cultural programmes and also sporting events.

Another event takes place in June is the Festival of Classical Music on Mahe. It is a fantastic event for all music lovers. Dr. Marc Sabasdin organizer of this great music festo invites young and known artists from various countries of various talents to this event. It is a peaceful event for people to listen to music and loiter under the palm tree and fantastic view of the shore makes it more fabulous. Most of these concerts are held in Beau Vallon Bay.

Liberation Day:

29 June, 1976 is the liberation day for Seychelles. Similar to other countries Independence Day celebration, Seychelles also shows up their national pride by patriotic heaval and flag hoisting. Usually people occupy local parks with their families to encounter the spectacular fireworks.

Assumption Day/La Digue Festival

NOVEMBER:

All Saints Day 

All Saints Day is celebrated on 1st November every year. It is a religious festival to remember the dead of respective families. It is also called all souls day. Throughout Seychelles, church services are held. People go to their loved ones graves light candles to be placed in order to show their love toward them. They decorate the grave with flowers and pray for the dead ones souls.

First Communion Celebrations

First communion is celebrated during the months of October to December. It is good going churches during this communion months to have the bread and body of Jesus Christ. It is best for people who want to enhance themselves spiritually.

Seychelles Ocean Festival

Seychelles ocean festival is going to take palce between 1st and 9th of December in various places on Mahe.  This event is best for sea divers to cherish. This event is mainly organized to spot the riches of the underwater world and also the beauty it hides and preserves and has to be preserved. They organise to promote the ocean legacy. The Seychelles ocean festival was renamed from Subios now.
