Anse Boudin beach is a nice beach in the northern part of the Praslin looking out over the ocean to Curieuse Island, even this is part of the “Curieuse Marine National Park”. It is located between Anse Lazio and Anse Takamaka. Large granite arrangements divide this beach from Anse Takamaka. This beach is about 800 steps long and the main beach was hidden behind few local houses. The coconut palms, pines and Takamaka trees shelter the Anse Boudin.
This is a striking beach with great outlooks, powdery white sand and crystal clear aquamarine water. The sea is really calm and offers perfect conditions for swimming and snorkeling, and the water here is very safe for children to play and swim.
One small hitch is the seaweed that gets washed on the northern beaches of Praslin on a regular basis. But this is a natural phenomenon and happens in other beaches also. Fortunately, the waves washed away the seaweeds before it settles on the seabed.

The beach is far away from the crowds as you have to travel there few minutes from where you stay. However it is not difficult to get there even by public buses you can reach the spot. Naturally, visitors can also come by walk if there residence is not too far away from the bay.
One of the significant features of Anse Boudin beach is its local activity. The Fishmongers leave their boats anchored in the shallow water, so you can find many small boats in the bay. Sometimes, the local people play football during their holidays or in their leisure times, which is worth to watch if you are interested in the sports.
Many snack shops and restaurants are also available near the beach. It helps the visitors to enjoy their dinner, if they wish. There is also an excursion counter, which offers trip to Cousin Island and Curieuse Island, both of which are filled with untouched natural beauty.
